  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.  

  • Tutoring is available for all students.  Normal tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays continues from 3:30-4:30 in room 160.  In addition, tutoring is also now available on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room 114.

  • SENIORS - April 9th is the test day where you are not here in the building. On April 9th, LLCC is hosting tours for prospective students - you can attend the 10am tour or the 1pm tour. If you have questions or need support after the tour, LLCC reps will help you! Check out these links to RSVP:

  • The digital ACT and PreACT will be administered at SHS on Thursday, April 9th. All 9th, 10th and 11th graders will test. Freshmen and sophomores take the PreACT and juniors are required to take the ACT. Seniors who did not take the ACT last year are required to test on April 9th as well. Completion of the school day ACT is required for graduation.

All 9th, 10th and 11th graders can turn in a signed, parent permission form to be dismissed directly after the test. Any student can stay for lunch or for the duration of the day and be dismissed at 3:17 p.m. Buses will run on the 3:17 p.m. dismissal time. 

Seniors who have already taken the ACT may participate in the Senior Service Day on April 9th if the signed permission form is returned to the Guidance Office before April 3rd at 3:30 p.m. Additionally, these seniors, who are not required to test will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m. on April 8th (see form for details).

  • The Springfield Public Schools’ Board of Education invites interested incoming high school seniors (current juniors)  to apply to become the 2026-2027 Student Representative to the Board of Education. One incoming senior will be chosen to serve as the Student Representative during the upcoming school year. Additional information and the application can be found at: https://forms.gle/Kh1aKBbeoE7gvwXi8. The submission deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026.  

  • Seniors, It’s your time! The 4th Annual Grad Walk is coming up, your chance to walk through our elementary and middle schools in your cap and gown and inspire the next generation. Join us on May 6th or May 13th and be part of something bigger than yourself. Check your email from Mrs. Dyas or click on the link on the District website to get signed up today. Spots are limited! Let’s make it count, Class of 2026!

  • Springfield Clinic is hosting an open house for high school students who are interested in learning about careers in the health care field. Students are invited to the Springfield Clinic 1st Building at 800 North 1st Street on Wednesday, April 29th from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. You can tour the building, visit with different departments, and engage in hand-on activities. See Leardi or Lauer for more info or to RSVP.

  • The soccer team defeated Normal U-High 5-1 to remain undefeated. Kamryn Hoffman scored 3 goals and added 2 assists to lead the Solons. Bridget Lyons scored 2 goals and Ainsley Lambert and Addie Maddox picked up assists. The JV team battled to a 2-2 draw. Megan Foster scored 2 goals.
